Craigellachie 1989 Bot.2006 Connoisseurs Choice is a 17-year-old Scotch whisky from the Speyside region. Craigellachie distillery is known for its traditional production methods and distinctive character, often showcasing a robust and slightly sulphury profile. This expression is part of the Connoisseurs Choice range, which highlights exceptional single malts.
Rich and fruity with notes of apple, pear, and a hint of honey, complemented by a subtle floral character and a touch of oak.
Full-bodied with flavors of ripe stone fruits, malt, and a gentle spice, alongside a creamy mouthfeel and hints of vanilla.
Long and warming with lingering notes of fruit and a touch of oak spice.
A well-balanced and complex whisky that showcases the fruitiness typical of Craigellachie, making it an enjoyable dram.

The Speyside region's rock, Craigellachie, is everything not your average 'Speyside' whiskey. Its fruity, muscular flavor, which was considered out of date even in 1891, is due to the employment of worm tub condensers. This robust but fragrant flavour goes against what is expected. Many distilleries in the earlier days of whiskey manufacturing used worm tubs to chill their alcohol. We continue to use this conventional method of returning our vapour to liquid form after distillation. We discover that the worm tubs give the spirit an added flavor, aiding in the development of our unique personality.
