The Speyside region's rock, Craigellachie, is everything not your average 'Speyside' whiskey. Its fruity, muscular flavor, which was considered out of date even in 1891, is due to the employment of worm tub condensers. This robust but fragrant flavour goes against what is expected. Many distilleries in the earlier days of whiskey manufacturing used worm tubs to chill their alcohol. We continue to use this conventional method of returning our vapour to liquid form after distillation. We discover that the worm tubs give the spirit an added flavor, aiding in the development of our unique personality.
