About Aberlour

The finest local barley and gentle water from the neighboring mountain, Ben Rinnes, are used in the production of all of our single malts. Our newly created, precisely produced spirit typically ages for at least 12 years in both the best, hand-selected American oak barrels and Oloroso sherry butts. A genuinely rich and rewardingly complex selection of single malts is made possible by the subtle blending of each barrel's characteristics throughout the double cask aging process. At Aberlour, we prioritize content over aesthetics. Generations of craft, passion, and expertise have been passed down to produce our whiskey. Our history is one of neighborhood, locally produced food, and families of artisans who have molded us into the people we are today. With its rich flavor and distinctive character, we think our whiskey speaks for itself. Before being combined when ripe and ready to manufacture the final product, Aberlour is typically double-cask aged in American Oak barrels and Oloroso Sherry casks. The process of maturing introduces fresh flavor notes and qualities, which develop with time to produce our distinctively rich and nuanced Speyside single malt.
