Product Description

On a mission to explore innovative cask maturations and the influences of different wood varieties, the team at Teeling has partnered with the Tree Council of Ireland to support native tree planting with its Wonders of Wood series! This is the first expression to join the collection and sees Teeling's Single Pot Still Irish whiskey treated to full maturation in virgin Chinkapin American white oak casks. The wood has wider grain than other oak varieties, and has imparted a wealth of sweet spice and soft fruit notes to the creamy whiskey within.

About The Brand: Teeling

The Teeling Whiskey Company opened the Teeling Distillery, an Irish whiskey distillery, near Dublin in 2015. It is the first new whiskey distillery to open in Dublin, which previously served as the world's center for whiskey production, in more than 125 years. In reality, it is the first whiskey distillery to operate in Dublin in over 40 years since the final of the old Dublin distilleries shut down in 1976. Previously, Dublin was home to at least 37 distilleries. Jack and Stephen Teeling, whose father John Teeling had launched the monopoly-busting Cooley Distillery in 1987, started the distillery. It is situated near to Walter Teeling, a family progenitor who founded a distillery on Marrowbone Lane in 1782, in Dublin's Liberties neighborhood. The re-establishment of the Teeling whiskey brand is symbolized by the brand's logo, which features a phoenix emerging from a pot still.
