This right here is the fourth release in Teeling's Renaissance Series, which celebrates the return of distilling in Dublin and Irish whiskey's renaissance. It's an 18 year old single malt whiskey, which has enjoyed a rather interesting finishing period – it spent 18 months resting in Pineau des Charentes casks! If you're not familiar with it, Pineau des Charentes is a French fortified wine made with grape juice or must, blended with Cognac. It's brilliantly vibrant and fruity, and those elements have made their way into this ace single malt!~ Master of Malt

The Teeling Whiskey Company opened the Teeling Distillery, an Irish whiskey distillery, near Dublin in 2015. It is the first new whiskey distillery to open in Dublin, which previously served as the world's center for whiskey production, in more than 125 years. In reality, it is the first whiskey distillery to operate in Dublin in over 40 years since the final of the old Dublin distilleries shut down in 1976. Previously, Dublin was home to at least 37 distilleries. Jack and Stephen Teeling, whose father John Teeling had launched the monopoly-busting Cooley Distillery in 1987, started the distillery. It is situated near to Walter Teeling, a family progenitor who founded a distillery on Marrowbone Lane in 1782, in Dublin's Liberties neighborhood. The re-establishment of the Teeling whiskey brand is symbolized by the brand's logo, which features a phoenix emerging from a pot still.
