The Teeling team in Dublin have gone and released the third expression in their Renaissance range, celebrating the renaissance which Irish whiskey is experiencing. For this expression, the 18 year old single malt was initially aged in ex-bourbon barrels, before being transferred over to ex-Muscat wine barrels! Once again, Teeling has created a richly satisfying whiskey, with ripe orchard fruit and creamy vanilla, with juicy red berry notes popping up along the way.~ Master of Malt

The Teeling Whiskey Company opened the Teeling Distillery, an Irish whiskey distillery, near Dublin in 2015. It is the first new whiskey distillery to open in Dublin, which previously served as the world's center for whiskey production, in more than 125 years. In reality, it is the first whiskey distillery to operate in Dublin in over 40 years since the final of the old Dublin distilleries shut down in 1976. Previously, Dublin was home to at least 37 distilleries. Jack and Stephen Teeling, whose father John Teeling had launched the monopoly-busting Cooley Distillery in 1987, started the distillery. It is situated near to Walter Teeling, a family progenitor who founded a distillery on Marrowbone Lane in 1782, in Dublin's Liberties neighborhood. The re-establishment of the Teeling whiskey brand is symbolized by the brand's logo, which features a phoenix emerging from a pot still.
