Product Description

Teeling 18 Year Old - The Renaissance Series 5 is a limited edition expression of Irish whiskey produced by the Teeling Whiskey Company. It is a single malt Irish whiskey that has been aged for 18 years in a combination of ex-bourbon barrels and ex-rum barrels, which gives it a unique flavor profile. Irish whiskey is a type of whiskey that is produced in Ireland and made from a mixture of grains, including barley, corn, oats, and wheat. It is typically aged in oak barrels for at least three years, and the length of aging, as well as the type of barrels used, can have a significant impact on the final flavor of the whiskey. The Teeling 18 Year Old - The Renaissance Series 5 is likely to have a complex and nuanced flavor profile, with notes of oak, vanilla, and perhaps some fruit or spice notes imparted by the ex-rum barrels. It is likely to be smooth and well-balanced, with a long and satisfying finish.

About The Brand: Teeling

The Teeling Whiskey Company opened the Teeling Distillery, an Irish whiskey distillery, near Dublin in 2015. It is the first new whiskey distillery to open in Dublin, which previously served as the world's center for whiskey production, in more than 125 years. In reality, it is the first whiskey distillery to operate in Dublin in over 40 years since the final of the old Dublin distilleries shut down in 1976. Previously, Dublin was home to at least 37 distilleries. Jack and Stephen Teeling, whose father John Teeling had launched the monopoly-busting Cooley Distillery in 1987, started the distillery. It is situated near to Walter Teeling, a family progenitor who founded a distillery on Marrowbone Lane in 1782, in Dublin's Liberties neighborhood. The re-establishment of the Teeling whiskey brand is symbolized by the brand's logo, which features a phoenix emerging from a pot still.
