Bottled by Elixir Distillers as part of the Single Malts of Scotland Reserve Casks range in 2022, this 10-year-old whisky from Ben Nevis distillery is a small batch release blended from five oloroso sherry hogsheads. Offering aromas of chocolate, caramel and hazelnuts on the nose, the palate displays notes of nutty milk chocolate bars, crème caramel and orange bitters. The oily and dense finish is coloured with lovely citrus fruits, cocoa nibs and milk coffee tones.~ The Whisky Exchange

In Scotland's Fort William, there is a distillery called Ben Nevis. At 1,345 meters (4,413 feet) above sea level, Ben Nevis is the tallest peak in the British Isles, and it is located at its foot. A coastal distillery in the Western Highlands gets its water from the Allt a'Mhuilinn, which springs from the Coire Leis and Coire na'Ciste lakes on Ben Nevis. It was established in 1825 as an independent business, and since 1989, Nikka Whisky Distilling of Tokyo, Japan, has owned it.
