Product Description

This magnificent seven year old single malt is created solely by Islay's Lagavulin distillery to commemorate the island's annual Jazz festival. All of the spirit's vitality is preserved due to the cask's brief aging period, which is balanced with a hint of oaken sweetness and spice. About The Brand: Lagavulin

One of Islay's oldest distilleries, Lagavulin is known around the world for its smokey, peaty whiskies. A malt whiskey distillery called Lagavulin is located in the Scottish hamlet of Lagavulin on the southern tip of the island of Islay. It produces the spirit used to make Islay single malt Scotch whisky. Diageo, a global provider of alcoholic beverages with its headquarters in London, is the owner of Lagavulin. It was once advertised under the no longer in existence Classic Malts line of single malts. The typical release is a 16-year-old with a 43% ABV. Additionally, a Distiller's edition that was aged in Pedro Ximénez Sherry barrels is bottled. A 12-year-old cask-strength variant and numerous older and rarer expressions are also routinely released in addition to these. The name Lagavulin is a translation from the Scottish Gaelic means hollow of the mill, Lag a' Mhuilinn.
