Lagavulin is a renowned Scotch whisky brand from the Islay region, known for its heavily peated style. This particular expression has no age statement, which allows for a focus on the distillery's signature character without the constraints of age. Lagavulin is celebrated for its rich, smoky flavors and complexity, making it a staple among Islay whisky enthusiasts.
Rich and smoky with notes of seaweed, iodine, and hints of vanilla and dried fruit.
Full-bodied with a robust peat smoke character, complemented by flavors of dark chocolate, dried figs, and a touch of spice.
Long and warming with lingering smoke, a hint of saltiness, and a subtle sweetness.
A complex and intense expression that showcases the signature Islay peat alongside rich, sweet undertones.

One of Islay's oldest distilleries, Lagavulin is known around the world for its smokey, peaty whiskies. A malt whiskey distillery called Lagavulin is located in the Scottish hamlet of Lagavulin on the southern tip of the island of Islay. It produces the spirit used to make Islay single malt Scotch whisky. Diageo, a global provider of alcoholic beverages with its headquarters in London, is the owner of Lagavulin. It was once advertised under the no longer in existence Classic Malts line of single malts. The typical release is a 16-year-old with a 43% ABV. Additionally, a Distiller's edition that was aged in Pedro Ximénez Sherry barrels is bottled. A 12-year-old cask-strength variant and numerous older and rarer expressions are also routinely released in addition to these. The name Lagavulin is a translation from the Scottish Gaelic means hollow of the mill, Lag a' Mhuilinn.
