This 1967 Loch Lomond was distilled just one year after the distillery's renowned straight-neck stills started operating. It was initially aged in a refill American oak hogshead before being recasked into a refill European oak sherry hogshead in 1994 and being bottled in 2022 at an impressive 54-years-old. With sophisticated notes of crème caramel, vanilla pods, toasted oak, melting brown sugar, orange peel, and marmalade that fill the nose, more than fifty years in oak have produced a refined character. On the tongue, there are flavors of fresh, sharp pineapple and lemon zest, sweet honey, dried fruit like sultanas and raisins, and raisins. These flavors give way to delicate floral notes, green kiwi, toasty oak, anise, and cinnamon, which linger on the palate.

The best Single Malt Whiskies are produced at Loch Lomond Distillery since 1814, and they are every bit as wonderful as the surroundings are beautiful. Style and craft are inextricably interwoven. the fluid motion of an artist's brush, the attention to detail in a woodcarver's hand, or the tuning of an instrument to produce the ideal tone. Whisky is no different for us. Our distillation style has been developed to be as recognizable as the creations of any artisan or composer. Our expressions always feature fruit, sweet honey, and delicate smoke thanks to the distillation method we choose. It's our style, ageless and recognizable, and it helps us stay loyal to our roots. Our still configuration at Loch Lomond enables us to create a variety of whiskies of excellent quality.
