This edition started its time maturing in ex-bourbon casks, before being transferred to Matusalem Oloroso sherry butts. You might be thinking this all sounds similar to the 2017 release so far, and you'd be correct, however, the story doesn't end there for the 2022 release! That gloriously sherried liquid is also combined with single malt, initially matured in ex-bourbon casks, followed by a stay in Graham's Port Colheita casks from 1970. The two liquids were blended, and given time to become acquainted in a cask, before it was finally time for bottling!
