Every autumn Nc'nean releases a limited special edition whisky dedicated to a particular employee at the distillery, also known as one of the “Rebels” of Nc'nean, hence the series name “Quiet Rebels”. This series focuses on highlighting those who work behind the scenes to produce a great whisky. This year distiller Lorna Davidson is the namesake for the Nc'nean Quiet Rebels Lorna.

Lorna joined Nc'nean as a cook for the worker’s meals during the construction of the distillery. Since then she has been under the tutelage of Distillery Manager Gordon Wood learning everything she needs to know to make whisky herself.
Lorna likes her whisky on the sweet side and it shows in this whisky with notes of peaches, apricots, caramel and citrus with a hint of gentle spice at the end. The whisky was matured in American whiskey casks and ex-Pineau des Charentes casks.
“It was very exciting to see a bottle of Nc'nean Whisky with my name on the label” ~ Lorna Davidson
Nc'nean was started in 2013 by Annabel Thomas, and her goal was to create whisky differently. Thomas wanted to create a 0 carbon footprint distillery and use 100% renewable energy as well as only using local organic barley. Thomas managed to pull it off and create a pretty delicious whisky.
