Japanese whiskey is produced at the Yoichi distillery. It is situated in Yoichi, a town in Japan's Hokkaido Prefecture's Shiribeshi Subprefecture's Yoichi District. The distillery was established in 1934 and is owned by Nikka Whisky Distilling. The Miyagikyo distillery, located close to Sendai, is the other Nikka Whisky facility, and it is the elder of the two.
