Since 2005, the Kavalan Distillery in Yilan County, Taiwan, has been a leader in the single malt whiskey industry. Kavalan is made from the mineral-rich meltwaters of Snow Mountain and matured in a special environment that combines extreme heat, humidity, sea breezes, and mountain breezes.
