An incredibly sleek bottle of Glenfarclas, which has seen a jaw-dropping 50 years of ageing! It spent its half a century of maturation in Spanish oak sherry casks, left to rest in cool dunnage warehouses. Just 146 bottles were produced. The sherried single malt is presented in a Glencairn Crystal decanter, hand-decorated in copper complete with a copper stopper, too. The decanter comes alongside a red mahogany piano-finished gift box, specially chosen to reflect the autumnal hues of Speyside. Very impressive indeed.~ Master of Malt

In Ballindalloch, Scotland, there is a Speyside whiskey distillery called Glenfarclas. Glenfarclas, which means valley of the green grass, is a Scottish name. The Grant family owns and operates the distillery. Six stills, the biggest on Speyside and located in the distillery, are heated directly by gas burners. About 4 million liters of spirit may be produced at the distillery each year. Two stills are often held in reserve while the other two are used for production. Approximately 68,000 barrels from every year since 1953 up to the present are now ageing at the distillery in on-site dunnage warehouses. Traditional Highland malt with a strong sherry flavor is produced by Glenfarclas.
