A single cask Glenfarclas from the distillery's rather extensive (and spectacular) Family Cask range, released for their Winter 2015 release. This one was distilled all the way back in 1972 and set aside to mature in Sherry butt #3548 until August 2015, when it was bottled with an outturn of 625 bottles.

In Ballindalloch, Scotland, there is a Speyside whiskey distillery called Glenfarclas. Glenfarclas, which means valley of the green grass, is a Scottish name. The Grant family owns and operates the distillery. Six stills, the biggest on Speyside and located in the distillery, are heated directly by gas burners. About 4 million liters of spirit may be produced at the distillery each year. Two stills are often held in reserve while the other two are used for production. Approximately 68,000 barrels from every year since 1953 up to the present are now ageing at the distillery in on-site dunnage warehouses. Traditional Highland malt with a strong sherry flavor is produced by Glenfarclas.
