Product Description

Goodness gracious, would you just look at the Glenfarclas Family Cask bottling! This single malt from the long-going family-run distillery was distilled in 1970 and matured in Sherry hogshead #2026 until December 2014 - and it certainly looks the part, doesn't it? Just 148 bottles of this were produced, presented at 53% ABV, which is rather impressive for its age.

About The Brand: Glenfarclas

In Ballindalloch, Scotland, there is a Speyside whiskey distillery called Glenfarclas. Glenfarclas, which means valley of the green grass, is a Scottish name. The Grant family owns and operates the distillery. Six stills, the biggest on Speyside and located in the distillery, are heated directly by gas burners. About 4 million liters of spirit may be produced at the distillery each year. Two stills are often held in reserve while the other two are used for production. Approximately 68,000 barrels from every year since 1953 up to the present are now ageing at the distillery in on-site dunnage warehouses. Traditional Highland malt with a strong sherry flavor is produced by Glenfarclas.
