Product Description

A delightful decanter containing 1953 vintage Glenfarclas. This bottling was released in 2013 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's coronation. A limited release of only 60 specially commissioned crystal decanters. The whisky matured in a single oak cask in Glenfarclas's cellars in Ballindalloch for almost six full decades before being bottled at its natural strength. Only air, wood and time have influenced the development of its magnificent flavour profile.

About The Brand: Glenfarclas

In Ballindalloch, Scotland, there is a Speyside whiskey distillery called Glenfarclas. Glenfarclas, which means valley of the green grass, is a Scottish name. The Grant family owns and operates the distillery. Six stills, the biggest on Speyside and located in the distillery, are heated directly by gas burners. About 4 million liters of spirit may be produced at the distillery each year. Two stills are often held in reserve while the other two are used for production. Approximately 68,000 barrels from every year since 1953 up to the present are now ageing at the distillery in on-site dunnage warehouses. Traditional Highland malt with a strong sherry flavor is produced by Glenfarclas.
