About The Brand: Ailsa Bay

Ailsa Bay is located in the Lowlands and faces Ailsa Craig, Kintyre, and Arran on the Clyde coast. But it produces a wide range of makes with its eight stills. This adaptability is intentional since the distillery was designed to supply both alternative flavor options and 'Balvenie-style' malt to replace it in Grant's mixes. Given this, it should come as no surprise that the stills are fashioned similarly to Balvenie's. Estery, nutty, fruity, and highly peated are the four distinct flavors created. This award-winning new age single malt pushes the limits of flavor by being scientifically distilled at 022 parts 'peat' and 019 parts 'sweet,' then micro-matured to a perfect balance of oaky sweetness and smokey undertones.
