Product Description

The Old Particular range was first introduced in 2013 by independent bottler Douglas Laing as a replacement for the Old Malt Cask series. This Talisker from 2012 continues the tradition of single-cask releases bottled at natural cask strength under the company’s flagship label. Aged in a refill hogshead for 10 years, this expression offers notes of briny tar, vanilla oak and pepper throughout the famous Talisker smoke-filled palate.

About The Brand: Talisker

On the Isle of Skye, Talisker is the oldest operating distillery. It is situated on the banks of Loch Harport and offers breathtaking views of the Cuillin Mountains. producing a seductive, sweet, full-bodied single malt that is so simple to enjoy and yet difficult to leave, much like Skye itself. On the Minginish Peninsula on the Isle of Skye, Talisker Distillery is an island single malt Scotch whiskey distillery with headquarters in Carbost, Scotland. Diageo, which runs the distillery, has shortlisted Taliskers' 10-year-old whiskey for inclusion in their Classic Malts lineup. The product is regarded as a high-end single malt Whisky. Hugh MacAskill financed £3,000 and constructed the distillery before leasing the land from the MacLeods in 1830. Instead of the settlement where it was located, he decided to name it after his estate, Talisker, which is located about 5 miles to the west.
