This is the Talisker release which is 'The Lustrous Creature of the Depths' an 11 year old single malt matured in first fill American Oak ex-bourbon, refill and wine-seasoned casks which has created layers of flavour, oily texture and a sweet, smoky-spicy, salty and fruity taste.

On the Isle of Skye, Talisker is the oldest operating distillery. It is situated on the banks of Loch Harport and offers breathtaking views of the Cuillin Mountains. producing a seductive, sweet, full-bodied single malt that is so simple to enjoy and yet difficult to leave, much like Skye itself. On the Minginish Peninsula on the Isle of Skye, Talisker Distillery is an island single malt Scotch whiskey distillery with headquarters in Carbost, Scotland. Diageo, which runs the distillery, has shortlisted Taliskers' 10-year-old whiskey for inclusion in their Classic Malts lineup. The product is regarded as a high-end single malt Whisky. Hugh MacAskill financed £3,000 and constructed the distillery before leasing the land from the MacLeods in 1830. Instead of the settlement where it was located, he decided to name it after his estate, Talisker, which is located about 5 miles to the west.
