On the Minginish Peninsula on the Isle of Skye, Talisker Distillery is an island single malt Scotch whiskey distillery with headquarters in Carbost, Scotland. Diageo, which runs the distillery, has shortlisted Taliskers' 10-year-old whiskey for inclusion in their Classic Malts lineup. The product is regarded as a high-end single malt Whisky. Hugh MacAskill financed £3,000 and constructed the distillery before leasing the land from the MacLeods in 1830.
