Ledaig is the name for peated whisky distilled at Tobermory on the Isle of Mull. It's not pronounced 'lead ayg' or 'le daig' but something a bit like 'led chig' but with a very soft 'd'. Now you can wow your friends with your expert whisky pronunciation. This is an unusual bottling as most red wine cask whiskies are just finishes, whereas this particular number was fully aged in European oak casks that previously held red wine from Bordeaux. It's bottled at cask strength, 56.8% ABV.

A Scotch whiskey distillery called Tobermory is located in the town of Tobermory on the Hebridean island of Mull in Scotland. The 1798-founded distillery, once called as Ledaig (pronounced Letch-ick), has changed hands several times and through a series of closures. Burn Stewart Distillers, a branch of the South African Distell Group Limited, presently owns Mull's sole distillery. The mixes Scottish Leader and Black Bottle contain Tobermory single malt, which is the company's primary offering. Additionally, though in lower quantities, the distillery creates peated whiskey, which continues to go by the name Ledaig.
