Decadent Drinks and Whisky Sponge have teamed up once again for another terrific independent bottling, and this time the duo has got its hands on some peaty single malt from the Tobermory Distillery – that's right, it's a marvellous Ledaig! This one was distilled in 2008, and given a 13 year long maturation in a refill hogshead, until it was bottled up at 57.1% ABV with an outturn of 287 bottles.~ Master of Malt

A Scotch whiskey distillery called Tobermory is located in the town of Tobermory on the Hebridean island of Mull in Scotland. The 1798-founded distillery, once called as Ledaig (pronounced Letch-ick), has changed hands several times and through a series of closures. Burn Stewart Distillers, a branch of the South African Distell Group Limited, presently owns Mull's sole distillery. The mixes Scottish Leader and Black Bottle contain Tobermory single malt, which is the company's primary offering. Additionally, though in lower quantities, the distillery creates peated whiskey, which continues to go by the name Ledaig.
