The Sound is the entry level expression from Isle of Jura's Travel Retail range, all of which feature whisky finished in casks that previously held Pedro Ximénez sherry of various ages. This particular single malt was finished in casks that matured 15 year old Pedro Ximénez sherry. Sadly, there isn't a whisky in the range called The Fury to pair this with.~ Master of Malt

On the island of Jura in the Inner Hebrides off the coast of Scotland, the Jura distillery produces Scotch whiskey. Whyte and Mackay, a company located in Glasgow, is the owner of the distillery. Whyte and Mackay is owned by Emperador Inc., a company based in the Philippines. The distillery was founded in 1810 and revived in 1963 to revitalize the island and the neighborhood. What a success it has been as well. Today, practically every family on the island has a member who is employed by our distillery, a company associated with our distillery, or a tourism company that promotes whiskey. You can sense the producers' devotion in every sip because Jura is more important to them than anything else.
