A provenance bottling from Douglas Laing. From Jura Distillery has come this single cask and has been aged for 12 years. Non-chill filtered, no colouring - a bottling from one Refill Hogshead REF - DL14553. Distilled July 2008. Bottled June 2021. One of only 359 bottles available worldwide. Tasting notes: The nose has a spice oak quality with candied peels and honey'd barley. The palate is thick and creamy - a touch of vanilla, butterscotch and a hint of sea-salt. The finish lingers with a coastal style evident plus milk chocolate and butter pastry. Bottled by Douglas Laing

On the island of Jura in the Inner Hebrides off the coast of Scotland, the Jura distillery produces Scotch whiskey. Whyte and Mackay, a company located in Glasgow, is the owner of the distillery. Whyte and Mackay is owned by Emperador Inc., a company based in the Philippines. The distillery was founded in 1810 and revived in 1963 to revitalize the island and the neighborhood. What a success it has been as well. Today, practically every family on the island has a member who is employed by our distillery, a company associated with our distillery, or a tourism company that promotes whiskey. You can sense the producers' devotion in every sip because Jura is more important to them than anything else.
