Product Description

The original release of Jura's Islander's Expressions Collection was finished in ex-Barbados rum casks after initially maturing in American white oak barrels. The artwork on the bottle was created by Jura-born artist Amy Dunnachie, who makes jewelry out of materials she finds on the island's coastlines. Tropical fruit, orange, coconut, vanilla, and nectarines aromas dominate the nose. On the tongue and in the lingering aftertaste are notes of creamy vanilla, grilled peaches, banana, passion fruit, and mango.

About The Brand: Jura

On the island of Jura in the Inner Hebrides off the coast of Scotland, the Jura distillery produces Scotch whiskey. Whyte and Mackay, a company located in Glasgow, is the owner of the distillery. Whyte and Mackay is owned by Emperador Inc., a company based in the Philippines. The distillery was founded in 1810 and revived in 1963 to revitalize the island and the neighborhood. What a success it has been as well. Today, practically every family on the island has a member who is employed by our distillery, a company associated with our distillery, or a tourism company that promotes whiskey. You can sense the producers' devotion in every sip because Jura is more important to them than anything else.
