Jura 7 Year Old Moscatel Cask Finish (Darkness) is a single malt whisky produced by the Jura distillery on the island of Jura, Scotland. It is aged for 7 years in ex-bourbon barrels and finished in Moscatel casks. Moscatel is a type of sweet fortified wine, and the use of these casks in the finishing process imparts additional flavors and aromas of fruit, sweetness, and wine to the whisky. The whisky is bottled at a strength of 46.3% alcohol by volume (ABV) and is part of the Darkness! series from the independent bottler, Hunter Laing & Co. The series features whiskies aged in various types of wine casks, offering a unique and eclectic range of flavors to whisky enthusiasts.

On the island of Jura in the Inner Hebrides off the coast of Scotland, the Jura distillery produces Scotch whiskey. Whyte and Mackay, a company located in Glasgow, is the owner of the distillery. Whyte and Mackay is owned by Emperador Inc., a company based in the Philippines. The distillery was founded in 1810 and revived in 1963 to revitalize the island and the neighborhood. What a success it has been as well. Today, practically every family on the island has a member who is employed by our distillery, a company associated with our distillery, or a tourism company that promotes whiskey. You can sense the producers' devotion in every sip because Jura is more important to them than anything else.
