Product Description

This single cask expression from the First Editions range was distilled at Jura in 2006 and bottled by Hunter Laing & Co. of Glasgow in 2018. Matured in a refill hogshead for 11 years, only 362 bottles were produced, each one presented at a strength of 46% abv.The nose is malty with plenty of rich caramel and some zesty orange. The palate is oily with apples and a touch of liquorice, before a long and dry finish.

About The Brand: Jura

On the island of Jura in the Inner Hebrides off the coast of Scotland, the Jura distillery produces Scotch whiskey. Whyte and Mackay, a company located in Glasgow, is the owner of the distillery. Whyte and Mackay is owned by Emperador Inc., a company based in the Philippines. The distillery was founded in 1810 and revived in 1963 to revitalize the island and the neighborhood. What a success it has been as well. Today, practically every family on the island has a member who is employed by our distillery, a company associated with our distillery, or a tourism company that promotes whiskey. You can sense the producers' devotion in every sip because Jura is more important to them than anything else.
