Product Description

The sixth batch of Jura whisky that That Boutique-y Whisky Company has bottled is right here! This Jura single malt Scotch whiskey was distilled on the island of the same name and aged for 20 years before being bottled at 48.2% ABV. George Orwell's 1984, which he authored on the island, and its amazing deer population served as inspiration for the label. If you believed the book may be about 1,984 deer, you'd be wrong. There are a lot more deer on Jura. But that would make for a fairly decent novel. Perhaps not as good as the original 1984, but nonetheless. There are 901 bottles in Batch 5's release.

About The Brand: Jura

On the island of Jura in the Inner Hebrides off the coast of Scotland, the Jura distillery produces Scotch whiskey. Whyte and Mackay, a company located in Glasgow, is the owner of the distillery. Whyte and Mackay is owned by Emperador Inc., a company based in the Philippines. The distillery was founded in 1810 and revived in 1963 to revitalize the island and the neighborhood. What a success it has been as well. Today, practically every family on the island has a member who is employed by our distillery, a company associated with our distillery, or a tourism company that promotes whiskey. You can sense the producers' devotion in every sip because Jura is more important to them than anything else.
