Product Description

This single cask Jura was filled in 1997 and spent 25 years ageing before being bottled for Douglas Laing’s Xtra Old Particular range. Aromas of sultana, walnut and nutmeg fill the nose, complemented by notes of honey-soaked baking spices, stewed fruit and anise on the palate.

About The Brand: Jura

On the island of Jura in the Inner Hebrides off the coast of Scotland, the Jura distillery produces Scotch whiskey. Whyte and Mackay, a company located in Glasgow, is the owner of the distillery. Whyte and Mackay is owned by Emperador Inc., a company based in the Philippines. The distillery was founded in 1810 and revived in 1963 to revitalize the island and the neighborhood. What a success it has been as well. Today, practically every family on the island has a member who is employed by our distillery, a company associated with our distillery, or a tourism company that promotes whiskey. You can sense the producers' devotion in every sip because Jura is more important to them than anything else.
