Product Description

An 1980s bottling of the now defunct Isle of Jura 8 year old. Presented in the distillery's trademark shaped bottle and with a screw cap closure. A tiny island situated off the north east coast of Islay, Jura is home to more deer than people and was where George Orwell wrote 1984.

About The Brand: Jura

On the island of Jura in the Inner Hebrides off the coast of Scotland, the Jura distillery produces Scotch whiskey. Whyte and Mackay, a company located in Glasgow, is the owner of the distillery. Whyte and Mackay is owned by Emperador Inc., a company based in the Philippines. The distillery was founded in 1810 and revived in 1963 to revitalize the island and the neighborhood. What a success it has been as well. Today, practically every family on the island has a member who is employed by our distillery, a company associated with our distillery, or a tourism company that promotes whiskey. You can sense the producers' devotion in every sip because Jura is more important to them than anything else.
