The whisky was created in collaboration with the HBO television series Game of Thrones and is named after House Tyrell, a prominent family in the series. It is produced by the Clynelish Distillery and aged in a combination of first-fill ex-bourbon casks and refill American oak hogsheads. The resulting whisky is described as floral and light with notes of fresh fruit, honey, and vanilla, and is bottled at 51.2% ABV. The packaging features a stylized image of House Tyrell's sigil, a golden rose, and includes a booklet with information about the whisky and the connection to the Game of Thrones series.
