Product Description

Breath of the Highlands 12 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky produced by the independent bottler Adelphi. This specific release is a 12-year-old expression, distilled in 2009. The "Highlands" in the name refers to the region of Scotland where the whisky was distilled, which is known for producing a variety of different styles of whisky, ranging from light and fruity to full-bodied and rich. The "Breath of the Highlands" name likely reflects the fact that the whisky was carefully selected and blended to represent the best of what the region has to offer. It is bottled by Adelphi, a well-respected independent bottler that is known for producing high-quality, limited-edition expressions of single malt Scotch whisky.

The Walkers made a financial commitment to the distillery and constructed a Coffey still for the production of grain spirit. Four pot stills and the Coffey still were in full operation by 1886. A year's worth of pure alcohol produced by the distillery was 516,000 imperial gallons (2,350,000 L). By the time Distillers Company (DCL) acquired the Adelphi distillery in 1902, all distillation had ceased. Between 1968 and 1970, the distillery's structures were destroyed, and the chimney was taken down
