It was given that name in honor of Paul P. John, the company's founder and chairman. The Paul John single malts, a golden spirit of brightness from John Distilleries, come from the tropical Goan coastlines on India's west coast. John Distilleries, which was founded in 1996, rose to prominence in the spirit industry in less than ten years, not only in India but also internationally.
