The Giraud family mastered the skill of mixing Cognac over the course of four generations, and the fifth generation has now ventured into the realm of whisky! Voyage is the inaugural release from Alfred Giraud's Exploratory line, which combines French malt whiskies that have undergone unconventional cask finishing techniques. Here, we observe a combination of single malts that have aged in French Robinia oak barrels and Sauternes wine casks. Before being bottled, the blend is married in Cognac barrels and exhibits a careful mix of sweet stewed fruit, strong oak, and flowers.
