Highland Park has debuted the third cask strength release and it's a real stunner!
Highland Park Cask Strength Release #3
- Bottled at 64.1% ABV
- Not Chill-Filtered
- Natural Colour
- Master Whiskymaker: Gordon Motion
For the third release of the cask strength series, Highland Park has chosen to use a complimentary balance of three cask types – first-fill sherry seasoned American and European oak casks and a smaller quantity of refill casks for balance and depth. In addition this time around they have used a greater amount of Orkney peated malt creating a dram with an intensely smoky character.
“With Cask Strength, you are at a great place to start exploring the taste that best suits your palate by adding water, ice or your preferred serve,” ~ Highland Park, Master Whisky Maker, Gordon Motion
The goal of this distinguished series is to bring together many casks into one beautiful offering. Each release will aim to have the same underlying characteristics but they will vary in flavour and ABV. By not watering it down before bottling, it allows each of us to explore this whisky in our own fashion and discover uncounted flavours in its depth.
“Discover what best suits your palate by experimenting with the amount of water you add as you release this whisky’s distinctive notes of ripe mango, cloudy heather honey and whipped vanilla cream with a hint of aromatic violet. Pink grapefruit zest, freshly-baked sponge cake and a final gust of heathery peat smoke provide a long and distinctive finish.” ~The Chaps at Highland Park
Highland Park Cask Strength Release No. 3 is available now for around £60.00.
