We are excited to announce the launch of Halcyon Spirits, a newly established independent whisky bottler that is family-owned. To kick off their venture, they have unveiled their inaugural offering: a single cask Macallan 30 Year Old, distilled back in 1993.
Halcyon Spirits has bottled The Macallan 30 Year Old at its original cask strength of 49.8% ABV after maturing it in a first-fill sherry cask.
Priced at £2,950, a limited quantity of just 238 bottles can be acquired exclusively through the company's website. Notably, Halcyon Spirits has pledged to plant 10 trees for every bottle sold, emphasizing their commitment to environmental sustainability.
Being single cask releases, the availability of bottles will be limited to a few hundred from each cask. This inaugural release signifies the first of several highly anticipated releases planned by Halcyon Spirits for the year, ensuring that whisky enthusiasts have a handful of exceptional offerings to look forward to.
Halcyon Spirits, located in Udny Aberdeenshire, is the result of the creative vision of siblings Daniel and Craig Milne. These brothers, who also co-founded the online spirits auction platform Whisky Hammer and the whisky retail brand Still Spirit, have brought their expertise and passion for the industry to establish Halcyon Spirits.
Having successfully constructed a cutting-edge warehouse, the company is now fully operational. This state-of-the-art facility is designed to accommodate over 2,000 casks, providing a secure environment for storing, maturing, and bottling whisky, as emphasized by the Milne brothers.

The name also has deep significance to our family as it pays homage to our grandfather’s fishing boat, Halcyon BF187.
