The Loch Lomond Group has launched a new blended malt Scotch whisky brand called Noble Rebel.
The goal of the new brand is to creatively push boundaries in the pursuit of flavour creation. The flavours of Noble Rebel's three different expressions—Orchard Outburst, Smoke Symphony, and Hazelnut Harmony—are brought to life through a series of vibrant images that highlight the histories and flavour profiles of each blend.
Each whisky has a distinct flavour character because of the distillation techniques and barrels that the Loch Lomond Group has access to.
To create a specific flavour, distillers must work with yeasts, still form and size, and barrels because the Scotch Whisky Association forbids the addition of flavouring.
Its debut coincides with recent statistics showing that 34% of consumers aged 18 to 24 want to see more flavoured whiskey, such as caramel and honey flavours. Similar results were seen for the 35-54 age group, who likewise favoured flavoured goods.
Noble Rebel Orchard Outburst
Orchard Outburst, which was aged in former bourbon barrels, features flavours of salty notes, crisp, luscious orchard fruits, and an explosion of zest with undertones of citrusy lemon and lime.
This malt incorporates whiskey that was distilled using Chardonnay wine yeast, a novel component that allows the final blend's fruit and citrus flavours to stand out.
Noble Rebel Smoke Symphony
This one has smokey undertones and a spicy kick is called Smoke Symphony. Subtle berry tartness pairs well with this smoke.
Smoke Symphony exudes aromas of smoke, spice, and black cherries after being finished in Rioja wine barrels.
Nobel Rebel Hazelnut Harmony
The blend of nuts, pear, oak, and a hint of sweet honeycomb is called "Hazelnut Harmony."
The last expression in the trilogy, Hazelnut Harmony, is completed in American oak barrels that have been lightly toasted. This gives the whiskey a pleasant flavour that includes vanilla, hazelnut, and honey.
Each blended, unaged malt whiskey costs £40 and comes in non-chill filtered, natural colour, and 46% ABV bottles.
At Loch Lomond Distillery, each Noble Rebel interpretation is distilled, aged, and expertly blended by master blender Michael Henry.
Michael Henry, master blender at Loch Lomond Group has more control over the distillation process thanks to the straight-neck stills, which are exclusive to the distillery and enable him to precisely adjust the flavour character of each whiskey.
Michael Henry praised Noble Rebel as an interesting new addition to the expanding Loch Lomond Group portfolio while speaking about the recent releases.
