There is no Deveron distillery, which needs to be made clear before anything further is mentioned. Both the Deveron and Glen Deveron Scotch whiskey brands were produced in the Macduff Distillery and were given their names in honor of the River Deveron, which borders the facility. A variety of single malts were created and distributed under the name Glen Deveron during the former distillery owners Martini Rossi's ownership to appeal to the Italian market's preference for young, fresh malts.
