A brand of blended Scotch whisky known as Teacher's Highland Cream is made in Glasgow, Scotland, by Beam Suntory, a division of Suntory Holdings with headquarters in Osaka, Japan. In 1884, the trademark for Teacher's Highland Cream was established. (The bottles' labels read 'est. 1830,' indicating the founding family's entry into the whiskey industry earlier before the brand name was ever created.) According to Teacher's, in addition to roughly 30 other single malt whiskies, it employs 'completely smoked peated single malt whiskey from The Ardmore distillery as their fingerprint whisky.' The Teacher's brand is created primarily from the Ardmore distillery's output.
