The latest release from the much coveted Authors' Series this Glenfarclas 50 year old has been matured in a sherry cask and bottled at a natural cask strength of 50.2%. This whisky is partnered with the legendary author Nathaniel Hawthorne. The nose has rich notes of the finest Oloroso sherry maturation with chocolate, sultanas, raspberries, plums and even coffee. The palate brings intense red fruits with more ripe plums, cherries, hints of liquorice, orange and Jamon Iberico. The finish is incredibly long with the sweetness of the red fruits lingering on the tongue.
