Miltonduff 15 Year Old 2009 (Cask 8342457) - The Octave is a Scotch whisky from the Speyside region, known for its rich and fruity character. It has been aged for 15 years and bottled at an ABV of 54.8%. Miltonduff distillery is recognized for producing high-quality single malts that are often used in blended whiskies.
Rich and fruity with notes of ripe peaches, honey, and a hint of vanilla, complemented by subtle oak and a touch of spice.
Full-bodied with layers of dried fruits, toffee, and a creamy mouthfeel, alongside a gentle warmth from the alcohol and a hint of dark chocolate.
Long and warming, with lingering notes of sweet spices and a touch of oak, leaving a pleasant sweetness on the palate.
A well-balanced and complex whisky that showcases the rich character of Miltonduff with a robust cask influence.

Pluscarden Abbey is located six miles southwest of Elgin. It was initially a priory when King Alexander II founded it around 1230. One of the original stones from the Abbey is still proudly on display at the Miltonduff distillery, which is supposed to be located where the Abbey's grain mill once stood. The Miltonduff variants offered by G&M show off this exceptional Speysider's enormous versatility: the Cask Strength Collection offers deep, spicy, black honey notes, while The Distillery Labels collection reveals a lighter, more floral side of the distillery. Another interesting fact is that Miltonduff used a Lomond still to make Mosstowie from 1967 until 1981, another single malt.
