Bottled as part of the Old Malt Cask series from respected independent bottler Hunter Laing & Co. of Glasgow, this single cask was distilled at Longmorn in September 1998 and matured for more than two decades in a single refill barrel. Bottled in October 2019, this Speyside single malt is presented at a preferred strength of 50% abv, with just 213 bottles filled. The nose has sweet notes of vanilla, apple and caramel with a touch of pineapple. The palate brings butter shortbread and orange with custard and honey, before a sweet and fruit finish with lingering notes of gentle oak.~ Master of Malt

One of the best kept secrets in the whiskey industry, this Speyside distillery has been discussed among master distillers and blenders in whispers for decades. In fact, Longmorn is likely to rank highly if one were to ask some of the most prominent figures in the whiskey industry about their preferred malts. Longmorn has long been prized for its adaptability, richness, and powerful fruity qualities. It has also served as the foundation for some of the world's best blended whiskies. We at Gordon & MacPhail consider it with the same respect, and it proudly occupies a place in our collection of Distillery Labels as a genuine Speyside classic.
