Product Description

One of the Single Malts of Scotland Marriage of Casks series' remarkably aged Glen Rothes single malts was created by combining two casks—a hogshead and a sherry butt—that were filled in 1989 and 1990 and allowed to age for 31 years before being bottled. In addition to notes of stewed plums, raisins, charcoal, glace cherries, soft oak spice, liquorice, dark chocolate, ginger cake, crystallized ginger, and sticky jam that are present throughout the palate and linger in the finish, the nose is filled with aromas of blackcurrant jam, leather, raisins, sticky dates, maraschino cherries, malt loaf, and dark chocolate.
