Glen Moray 8 Year Old 2013 - Strictly Limited is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Glen Moray distillery that was distilled in 2013 and bottled by the independent bottler, Càrn Mòr. The Glen Moray distillery is located in the Elgin region of Speyside and it is known for producing a range of whiskies with a delicate and floral character, with a touch of sweetness and fruity notes. The 2013 vintage is considered a good year for this distillery, and this particular bottling would be considered a rare and collectible whisky. This release is part of Càrn Mòr's Strictly Limited series, which is a line of limited edition, cask-strength whiskies. The 8 years of aging in oak casks would have added complexity, depth and balance to the whisky. The final product is bottled at cask strength, meaning that the alcohol content of the whisky is not diluted before bottling. The exact alcohol by volume (ABV) of this specific bottling would likely be around 55% or higher, depending on the specific cask and the strength of the distilled spirit. As a cask strength, aged single malt scotch whisky, this particular bottling would likely have a robust and complex flavor profile, with a high alcohol content. The exact flavor profile will depend on the specific cask it was aged in and the bottle's storage conditions. It would be considered a rare and sought-after item among whisky collectors and enthusiasts, and the price point is expected to be relatively high, as it is considered a limited edition release.

The Speyside distillery Glen Moray produces single malt scotch whiskey. The distillery, which is located in Elgin, Moray, on the banks of the River Lossie, began operating in September 1897. The Glenmorangie Company Ltd. sold it to La Martiniquaise in 2008. More than 120 years have passed since we started creating Glen Moray in the heart of Speyside. Our single malt Scotch whiskey is still influenced by the rich history of our country. Robert Thorne & Sons' West Brewery in Elgin was the forerunner of Glen Moray, which was transformed in 1897 into a distillery with two stills. The firm concentrated on producing Aberlour whisky after a fire and a major restoration effort at its Aberlour Plant, allowing the Glen Moray distillery to deteriorate. In 1910, it was abandoned. The MacDonald and Muir families, who also run Glenmorangie Distillery, acquired the distillery at some point in the 1920s. The distillery now has an annual capacity of around 2,000,000 liters after receiving 2 more stills in 1958. The business is currently owned by La Martiniquaise, who utilizes a portion of its output in their blended Whisky Label 5 and has a distillery in West Lothian called Starlaw. In 2012, the distillery's capacity was increased to 3,300,000 liters per year from 3 wash stills and 3 spirit stills. The facility has continued to expand and develop in 2016, and it is anticipated that output will increase to around 5,500,000 liters yearly.
