Given the distillery it will come as no surprise to many of you that this is the oldest ever release from this hallowed Distillery. Cambus originally opened its doors in 1806 to produce Malt Whisky but was later converted in the 1830s to produce Grain whisky and became part of The Distillery Company (now Diageo and a considerably larger company). One of only around 1,100 bottles produced. This is powerful but in the proper sense- you'll get full flavours but lasting over an exceptionally long finish rather than all at once. There's plenty to discover- pear, caramel (maybe fudge?). Described as'extraordinary",",beyond beautiful' by Jim Murray in his 2018 Whisky Bible.~ Master of Malt
