The staff at Whyte & Mackay offered whiskey enthusiasts the chance to win this extremely uncommon 50 Year Old whisky back in October 2019. After maturing in a variety of casks, including bourbon barrels, Matusalem Oloroso sherry butts, a single Tawny Port pipe, and 30 year old Apostoles sherry butts, 1,500 bottles were released at 44.6% ABV. The mixture was ultimately sealed in bottles and made available after waiting for fifty years.
