The Six Isles Batch Strength is a blended malt Scotch whisky produced by The Vintage Malt Whisky Company. It is a blend of single malt whiskies from six different distilleries located on the islands of Scotland, including Skye, Mull, Islay, Orkney, Jura, and Arran. The Six Isles Batch Strength is a cask strength whisky, which means it was bottled at the natural strength it reached while aging in the cask, without being diluted with water. Cask strength whiskies tend to have a higher alcohol content and a more intense flavor profile than those that have been diluted. The Six Isles Batch Strength is likely to have a rich, full-bodied flavor profile, with flavors and aromas of peat smoke, sea salt, and dried fruit. It is a limited edition whisky, with only a few thousand bottles produced each year, making it a sought-after release for whisky collectors and enthusiasts.

Glengoyne Distillery in Stirlingshire and Tamdhu Distillery near Knockando on Speyside are owned by Ian Macleod Distillers, which has its headquarters in Broxburn, West Lothian. The 10th largest Scotch whiskey producer in the world, Macleod's produces and sells more than 15 million bottles of alcoholic beverages annually. Since more than 40 years ago, the company has supplied own-label spirits to some of the biggest retail groups in Europe. It is a significant supplier to the 'buyers' own brand' industry. 50% of Broxburn Bottlers are owned by Macleod's, while J&G Grant of Glenfarclas own the remaining 50%. Founder Peter Russell, whose son Leonard serves as managing director, is the chairman of Ian Macleod.
